This Privacy Policy describes how Sendar INC (“Sendar,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects the personal data you provide in connection with Sendar products and services, including your use of:

  • The Sendar website at www.sendar.ai
  • The WhatsApp-based payment and remittance service operated by Sendar

These are collectively referred to as the “Products”. Any device used to access Sendar Products is referred to as a “Device” in this Privacy Policy. This policy also describes your choices regarding the use of your personal data and how you can access or update it.

We own and operate some of these products directly, and in other cases market or provide services in partnership with third parties, such as our payments and banking partner, meCash.

1. Agreement to Policy

By using our Products, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Products or provide us with personal information.

2. Audience

The Products are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

3. International Users

The Products are provided from systems in the United States. By using our Products from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in the U.S., which may have different privacy protections than your country of residence.

  • Transaction information (products/services ordered, payment details)

7. Payment Services – meCash Partner Terms

Sendar partners with meCash to provide payment processing, fund holding, and money transfer services. By creating a Sendar account, linking a payment method, or initiating a transfer, you authorise us to share your identity and financial details with meCash and its licensed partner institutions so they can fulfil your transaction.

meCash operates through regulated financial institutions across multiple jurisdictions (including Nigeria, Rwanda, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom). By using Sendar, you also accept meCash's applicable privacy practices and the terms of its licensed partners.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your data is accurate and complete so meCash can process payments on your behalf.

8. Security

We use encryption (including SSL) and other industry-standard safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links and Social Features

If you click a link to a third-party site or use a social media feature (e.g., “Share” button), your interactions are governed by that third party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of such parties.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA to:

  • Request disclosure of the personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (if applicable)
